Terms of service
These are the terms for working together, in plain English. Please read them before we start. If anything is unclear, ring us and we’ll explain.

1. Who we are
AttendanceAllowanceHelp.co.uk is a trading name of David Matthew Walker, Suite 1, Read House, 5 Cross Street, Whitehaven, Cumbria, CA28 7BX. You can contact us on 01946 758199 or hello@attendanceallowancehelp.co.uk.
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean AttendanceAllowanceHelp.co.uk. “You” means the person claiming Attendance Allowance.
2. What we do
Our service is to help you complete and submit your Attendance Allowance application. This includes:
- a free check of whether a claim is likely to be worth making;
- a phone call, or calls, to go through your health and the help you need;
- completing the application with you, using the information you give us;
- reading it back to you so you can check it; and
- helping you submit it to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), or posting it to you ready to sign and send.
Our service covers your application up to the DWP’s decision.
3. No guarantee of an award
The DWP decides every claim. We can’t promise that you will be awarded Attendance Allowance, or at which rate. We will always do our best to present your needs clearly and accurately.
4. The fee
- Our fee is £299. One fixed fee, paid once. We don’t take a percentage of your award, and nothing ever comes out of your future payments.
- You pay it only if the DWP awards Attendance Allowance on the application we helped with.
- It is due within 14 days of the date on your DWP decision letter.
- If the DWP does not award Attendance Allowance, you pay nothing.
- There is nothing to pay upfront, and no other charges.
Please let us know when you receive your decision letter. We will then send you an invoice. You can pay by bank transfer, or by card using our secure Stripe payment link. Both are explained on the Pay invoice page.
5. Your part
You agree to give us information that is true, accurate and complete, to the best of your knowledge. The application is made in your name, and you are responsible for checking it before it is sent. It’s important to be honest with the DWP. Giving false information can lead to a claim being refused, or to having to pay money back.
If a family member or friend helps you, you still need to agree to the claim and check what it says.
6. How we agree to work together
Before we start any work, we will explain these terms to you on the phone and ask whether you agree. Your spoken agreement is recorded on that call. That is when our agreement begins. We’re always happy to send you a copy of these terms by post or email.
7. Changing your mind
You can cancel at any time before your application is sent to the DWP, for any reason, at no charge. Just phone or email us.
Once your application has been sent, it is in the DWP’s hands. If the DWP then awards Attendance Allowance on that application, the fee is due as set out in section 4.
8. We are not part of the DWP
We are an independent, private service. We are not part of, or affiliated with, the Department for Work and Pensions or any government body.
You can apply for Attendance Allowance yourself for free. Free help is also available from Citizens Advice, Age UK, and the DWP Attendance Allowance helpline on 0800 731 0122.
9. Your personal information
We look after your information carefully and use it only to help with your claim. Our privacy notice explains how.
10. If you’re not happy
If you’re unhappy with our service, please tell us by phone, email or post. We will listen, look into it, and do our best to put things right.
11. Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
12. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If there is ever a dispute, the courts of England and Wales can deal with it.
